Privacy Policy

🔐 TL;DR - Privacy in 5 Points

We collect ZERO personal data (no email, name, phone, etc.)

Your wallet address is public by design (blockchain = public ledger)

Preferences stored locally in your browser only

All transactions are permanently public on the blockchain

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking scripts

1. What Data We Collect

Wallet Data (Public)

When you connect your wallet, we read public blockchain data:

  • Your wallet address (public identifier)
  • Token balances (visible to everyone on the blockchain)
  • Transaction history (public on blockchain explorers)
  • This data is already public. We're just displaying it in our interface.

Local Storage (Your Device Only)

Your browser stores minimal preferences locally:

  • Onboarding completion status
  • Language preference (EN/FR)
  • UI preferences
  • This data NEVER leaves your device. We have no backend server.

Blockchain Interactions (Permanent & Public)

When you interact with smart contracts, this data is recorded permanently on the blockchain:

  • Staking amounts and timestamps
  • Daily check-in history
  • Bus ticket purchases and participation
  • Gambling bets and outcomes
  • Anyone can view this data using blockchain explorers (Etherscan, etc.)

2. What We DON'T Collect

  • Personal identity (name, address, date of birth)
  • Email address or phone number
  • IP addresses
  • Geolocation data
  • Analytics or user behavior tracking
  • Cookies (except essential browser storage for wallet connection)

3. How We Use Data

  • Display your wallet stats (balance, APY, streak)
  • Execute transactions you approve via your wallet
  • Show public leaderboards (all data is on-chain)
  • Remember your preferences (language, onboarding status)

We do NOT store any data on servers. Everything is either on-chain or local to your browser.

4. Third-Party Services

RPC Providers (Blockchain Access)

We connect to the blockchain through RPC providers. These may collect:

  • Default providers: Infura, Alchemy, or public RPC nodes
  • Your wallet address and transaction requests
  • Each provider has their own privacy policy (we don't control this)

Wallet Providers

When you use a wallet extension (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet), they have their own privacy policies:

  • MetaMask Privacy Policy: https://metamask.io/privacy.html
  • Coinbase Wallet Privacy Policy: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/privacy
  • We do NOT control or access your wallet keys or seed phrase

Blockchain Networks (Ethereum, etc.)

All transactions are publicly recorded on the blockchain.

⚠️ Blockchain data is PERMANENT and PUBLIC. Once a transaction is confirmed, it cannot be deleted or hidden.

5. Data Security

Client-Side Application

Degen Disorder is a client-side application. All code runs in your browser. We have no backend servers storing your data.

Wallet Security

YOU are responsible for securing your wallet. Never share your seed phrase or private keys. We cannot recover lost wallets.

Smart Contract Security

Smart contracts are audited but NOT 100% secure. Use at your own risk. See our Risk Disclaimer for more details.

6. Your Privacy Rights

  • Clear Local Data: You can clear browser localStorage at any time (Settings > Clear Data)
  • Use a New Wallet: You can create a new wallet address for anonymity
  • Blockchain Data is Permanent: Data recorded on the blockchain CANNOT be deleted (GDPR does not apply to decentralized blockchains)

7. Children's Privacy

Degen Disorder is NOT intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are under 18, do not use this platform.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the Protocol after changes constitutes acceptance. Check this page regularly for updates.

9. International Users

Degen Disorder is decentralized and accessible globally. However, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Note: GDPR "right to be forgotten" does NOT apply to blockchain data (it's immutable and decentralized).

Privacy by Design

We built Degen Disorder to be privacy-respecting by default. No accounts. No email. No KYC. Just your wallet and the blockchain.
